This video is about my crypto investing journey, starting with an initial $10,000 investment to an approximately $2000 portfolio. I definitely invested into cryptocurrencies at the wrong time, but I understood fully what I was getting into and I can say that investing in the crypto market definitely made me mentally stronger and more resilient when it comes to investing my own money.

From my $10,000 initial investment, I’ve seen peaks of $15,000 and lows of… well, under $2000, which is the current state of my crypto investments.

2019 was a horrendous year for cryptocurrencies and selling my current positions in the market would just make things worse. I rather HODL and wait for a potential bull run sometime in the future and be very patient than to declare a total loss on this investment.

In this video, I will be showing how I lost 80% of my total crypto investment via Bitcoin investing with Binance. My name is Andre Lamba, and I am making myself vulnerable with a total cryptocurrency investment loss with my binance investment, basically losing money in the crypto market, of over $8000! Binance US enabled me to start investing in crypto, but it’s safe to say I would have the same returns as other big financial YouTubers like Andrei Jikh, Graham Stephan, Nate O’brien. Should I sell or hold crypto is a big question I would ask myself. But seriously, should I sell or hold Bitcoin at this point? Should I sell or hold Cardano? Should I sell or hold Stellar Lumens? I also tried to learn how to buy Bitcoin with Robinhood, and not only how to buy Bitcoin with Binance, but it seems like how to buy crypto with Binance or Robinhood ended up still with the same result, -80% loss on investment! WhatI should really learn about, is how to invest in Bitcoin with Binance like Data Dash! He seems to be doing quite well 😉

You should always do your research before making any investment. You should also understand the risks of investing. This is all speculative based investing.

*** New year, new me!
Have you ever wanted to lose weight, but couldn’t?
Have you ever wanted to wake up early, because
apparently all the millionaires out there
do it, but couldn’t?
Have you ever wanted to get rich quick by
investing all your money into the crypto market,
but lost over 80% of that investment?
Hi, my name’s Andre, and that was what the
list of all the New Year resolutions I failed,
in 2019.
Welcome to my channel and Happy New Year to
all of you!
This is my first video of 2020, and to start
off this new year and decade, what’s better
than reviewing what happened last year, in
2019, and realize that I lost over 80% of
my initial investments in Crypto.
Yup, that really happened.
BUT, don’t worry, to make things even worse,
financially speaking, I…
Held everything in cash fearing a recession
might happen in 2019
Missed out on huge gains in the stock market,
31.45% to be exact.
Moved from Montreal, Canada to San Francisco,
California
And… got married
What would make me feel better after losing
almost $10,000 dollars you may ask?
Hitting the LIKE button below and getting
10k likes on this video of course!
(1 like = $1)
… probably still wouldn’t make me feel
better… but it’s a start!
Before I show you exactly where I lost my
money in the crypto market, let’s address
the elephant in the room… what, that?
no, not that elephant!
I’m talking about my YouTube channel name
change!
*Viewer voice* Andre you’re not a crypto
news channel anymore?
Well… yes, and no.
For those of you who don’t know, in 2019,
I was uploading consistently 2-3 videos every
single day.
I was more consistent filming and uploading
YouTube videos daily than actually going to
the gym.
Most of my thumbnails were, I’ll admit it,
clickbait thumbnails.
After getting a lot of very, very…VERY positive
feedback, I decided it was time for to change
. No!
Not this much change! *snap fingers again
and change into something normal* Ah, much
better!
Moving forward, I will start uploading less
frequently and try to focus more on quality
instead of quantity.
As for content, I will be getting a bit more
personal, talking about personal finance,
investing and, of course, crypto.
Speaking of crypto…
I started with an initial $10,000 dollars
in capital and finished 2019 with approximately
$1800 worth of cryptocurrencies.
Good job Andre!
Well done!
Considering the overall Crypto market is down
roughly 77% from its all-time high of $828
billion dollars back in January 2018, I think
it’s safe to say I bought-in at the wrong
time.
My portfolio consists of coins such as BTC
Bitcoin, ETH Ethereum, XRP Ripple, ADA Cardano,
XLM Stellar Lumens, TRX Tron and a few other
coins, but those are the main ones.
Just to put things into perspective,
I lost roughly 54% on my Bitcoin investment,
89% on my Ethereum investment, just wait…
it gets even worse as we move on, 93% on my
Ripple investment, 97% loss on my Cardano
investment, 92% on my Stellar Lumens investment
and finally, I lost 94% on my Tron investment.
You’re probably asking: Andre, how were
you able to cope emotionally with such a big
loss?
Easy.
Let me demonstrate:
Just kidding, this is probably more accurate:
Don’t feel bad, like Zig Ziglar once said,
“It’s not about how deep you fall, but
how high you bounce back”, but in my case…
I never bounced back.
On a serious note, the crypto market is probably
the most volatile markets out there and when
you invest your money in such a market, you
have to expect your money to fluctuate a lot.
What did I learn?
Well I learned that Bitcoin is your safest
bet when it comes to crypto investing.
Just kidding, but not really.
According to data compiled by Bloomberg article,
Bitcoin, The largest digital token, trading
around $7,200, has posted gains of more than
9,000,000% since July 2010.
Nothing else comes even close to beating it.
The S&P 500 merely tripled in that period.
Major news outlet CNN has touted Bitcoin as
the “star investment” of the decade, eclipsing
stocks, bonds, commodities, and fiat currencies
worldwide.
To put things into perspective:
$1 invested into Bitcoin in 2010 would be
worth more than $90,000 today
$1 invested in American in 2010 would now
reportedly be valued at just $3.46
$1 invested in gold in 2010 is said to be
worth just $1.34
And $1 invested in a 30-year US treasury bond
over the same time period would now be worth
$2.08.
So you can now understand why Bitcoin was
officially named the Best Investment of the
decade.
I definitely invested into cryptocurrencies
at the wrong time, but
I understood fully what I was getting into
and I can say that investing in the crypto
market definitely made me mentally stronger
and more resilient when it comes to investing
my own money.
From my $10,000 initial investment, I’ve
seen peaks of $15,000 and lows of… well,
under $2000, which is the current state of
my crypto investments.
I can totally hear someone watching this video
saying: BUT Andre, what’s next?
Are you going to stop investing in crypto?
While I know 2019 wasn’t the best year for
crypto, I also know that IF YOU HAVEN’T
SMASHED THAT LIKE BUTTON, well, now’s a
good time to do so.
No but seriously, 2019 was a horrendous year
for cryptocurrencies and selling my current
positions in the market would just make things
worse.
I rather HODL and wait for a potential bull
run sometime in the future and be very patient
than to declare a total loss on this investment.
There’s lots of speculation out there that
Bitcoin will reach new highs in 2020.
Some say $50,000 dollars, $100,000 dollars
(https://u.today/bitcoin-price-predicted-to-skyrocket-to-100000-in-2020-by-silk-road-founder-ross-ulbricht)…
and even $2 million dollars…
Yup, John McAfee is predicting it, if he said
it, it must be true.
Pfft…
John McAfee, more like John McNostradamus…
am I right?…
No?
Anyone?
OK…
Regardless of what happens to my crypto portfolio,
I will barely be affected because I always
try to diversify my investments in the stock
market, and in my education… because knowledge
is power… right?
The reality is that my crypto investments
represents just a very small portion of all
my investments, and I’m not a financial
advisor, but I would suggest to not invest
more than 10% of your total capital into high-risk
and high-reward investments.
Because if I would have invested all my money
into Cryptocurrencies, well, I’d probably
be living in my mom’s basement right now
sipping on 20 cent coffees…
Smash the like button… please
My life depends on it
Love you all
See you soon
Peace out
